Shipping policy

Thank you for shopping with The Intentional Nursery. This policy explains how we process, ship, and deliver your order worldwide. Please read it carefully before placing your order.

Order Processing

All orders are processed within 1–3 business days of payment confirmation (Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays).

You will receive an email confirmation when your order is placed, and a second email with tracking information once your order has been dispatched.

Orders placed on weekends or public holidays will begin processing on the next business day.

Shipping Times

We ship worldwide from our trusted supplier network. Estimated delivery times are:

Australia & New Zealand 14–28 business days
United States & Canada 14–30 business days
United Kingdom & European Union 14–30 business days
Asia (excluding origin country) 10–25 business days
Rest of World (South America, Africa, Middle East) 20–40 business days

These timeframes include both processing and transit. Please factor this into your purchase, especially for gifts, baby showers, or special occasions.

We strongly recommend placing orders well in advance of any deadline.

Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your delivery address, order size, and weight.

  • Standard worldwide shipping: calculated at checkout
  • Free shipping on orders over [$XX] AUD (or equivalent)

Tracking Your Order

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive an email with a tracking number and a link to follow your parcel's journey.

Please allow 3–7 business days for tracking information to update after dispatch. International shipments may show limited movement during customs clearance stages — this is normal.

If you have not received tracking information within 7 business days of your order confirmation, please contact us at theintentionalnursery@gmail.com.

Customs, Duties, and Import Taxes

Important — please read carefully:

International orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, or VAT imposed by your destination country. These charges are:

  • Determined by your country's customs authority, not by us
  • The responsibility of the customer (you)
  • Not included in your order total at checkout (unless specifically stated)

We are unable to predict these charges as they vary by country and order value. We recommend checking with your local customs office before ordering if you are concerned about potential charges.

For Australian customers: GST is included in your order total at checkout for purchases under AU$1,000, in accordance with Australian Taxation Office requirements.

For UK customers: Orders under £135 include applicable UK VAT at checkout.

For EU customers: Orders under €150 may include VAT at checkout under the IOSS scheme where applicable.

If a customer refuses to pay customs duties and the parcel is returned to sender, the customer is responsible for any return shipping and re-shipping costs.

Delivery Delays

While we work hard to meet our estimated delivery times, delays can occasionally occur due to:

  • Customs processing in your country
  • International postal service backlogs (especially during peak seasons)
  • Severe weather or natural events
  • Public holidays in Australia, transit countries, or your destination country
  • Incorrect or incomplete shipping addresses
  • Pandemic-related disruptions or other events outside our control

Delays caused by these factors are outside our control. However, we will always do our best to assist you in tracking and resolving any issues.

What If My Order Hasn't Arrived?

If your order has not arrived within 60 days of dispatch, please contact us at theintentionalnursery@gmail.com with your order number. We will investigate with our shipping partners and offer one of the following:

  • A full refund
  • A replacement at no cost to you

This is in addition to your rights under applicable consumer law in your country of residence.

Incorrect Shipping Addresses

Please double-check your shipping address at checkout, including country, postcode, and any apartment or unit numbers. We are not responsible for orders shipped to incorrectly entered addresses.

If you notice an error, contact us within 12 hours of placing your order at theintentionalnursery@gmail.com and we will do our best to correct it before dispatch.

If a parcel is returned to sender due to an incorrect address or unclaimed delivery, the customer is responsible for any re-shipping costs.

Lost or Damaged Parcels

If your parcel arrives damaged, please:

  1. Take clear photos of the packaging and contents
  2. Contact us within 7 days of delivery at theintentionalnursery@gmail.com
  3. Include your order number and the photos

We will work with you to arrange a refund or replacement in line with our Returns & Refunds Policy.

For lost parcels, please refer to the "What if my order hasn't arrived?" section above.

Countries We Do Not Ship To

We currently do not ship to:

  • Countries subject to international sanctions
  • PO Boxes in certain regions (please contact us if unsure)
